  • 2 to 3 cups raw sliced zucchini Slice evenly for consistent cooking.
  • 1 jar pasta sauce Choose a high-quality jarred sauce for better flavor.
  • 1 box bowtie pasta Any short pasta can be substituted.
  • to taste parmesan cheese Freshly grated for the best texture and taste.

Method
 

Cooking Pasta and Sauce
  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions.
  2. In a separate pan, heat the pasta sauce with sliced zucchini until the zucchini is crisp-tender.
  3. Add the cooked chicken to the sauce and warm it until heated through.
  4. Top the drained bowties with the warm sauce and sprinkle with parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

Serve hot with a green salad or crusty bread. Offer extra grated parmesan and red pepper flakes on the side. Cool and store leftovers for up to 3 days. Freeze for longer storage.
