Preparation
- Lightly grease a 9x13 pan with butter or oil.
- In a large pot, heat corn syrup and sugar until the sugar dissolves (do not boil).
- Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and Nutella until smooth.
- Add both cereals and stir until the mixture is well mixed.
- Press the cereal mix firmly into the greased pan.
Topping
- Melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in a double boiler or over low heat.
- Spread the melted chocolate-and-butterscotch mixture evenly over the bars.
- Cool the pan until the topping sets, then cut into bars.
Notes
Serve at room temperature. For a fancier presentation, dust with flaky salt or chopped nuts before the topping sets. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
