Preparation
- Combine ground turkey, minced garlic, bread crumbs, parsley, beaten egg, 3 tablespoons parmesan, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Form the mixture into 4 even patties.
- Chill patties for 10 minutes before grilling.
Cooking
- Heat a grill to medium-high.
- Grill the patties for a few minutes per side until no longer pink in the middle.
- Remove cooked patties and place each on a ciabatta roll.
- Melt unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Add minced onion and cook until translucent.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Whisk in half-and-half, chicken broth, salt, cayenne, and nutmeg, and bring to a simmer.
- Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted.
- Stir in 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan and a squeeze of lemon juice.
Serving
- Serve turkey burger on ciabatta roll and spoon the warm creamed spinach sauce over the patty.
Notes
To store, refrigerate cooked patties and sauce separately for up to 3 days. Freeze patties wrapped individually for up to 3 months.
