  • 1 bag (10.5 oz) miniature marshmallows (5 1/2 cups) Reserve 1 cup for folding in at the end.
  • 1.5 cups milk chocolate chips (9 oz)
  • 5 tablespoons butter or margarine Used for greasing the pan.
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup Keeps the mixture pliable.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 box (13 oz) Golden Grahams cereal (8 cups) Measured by cups.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Grease a 13×9-inch pan with butter.
  2. Reserve 1 cup of the marshmallows.
  3. In a large saucepan, combine the remaining marshmallows, chocolate chips, butter, and corn syrup.
  4. Melt the mixture over low heat, stirring until completely melted.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the Golden Grahams cereal into the saucepan and stir until the cereal is evenly coated.
  7. Fold in the reserved 1 cup marshmallows.
  8. Press the mixture into the prepared pan using the buttered back of a spoon.
  9. Cool for at least 1 hour or until firm.

Notes

Store loosely covered at room temperature for up to 3 to 4 days. For longer storage, wrap bars in plastic wrap and freeze for up to 2 months.
