Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 12 oz. cottage cheese Use full-fat for better flavor
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1 dash salt
Frosting Ingredients
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine For frosting
  • 2 tablespoons milk For frosting
  • 1 teaspoon almond flavoring For frosting

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Beat cottage cheese and butter together.
  2. Add in flour and salt, mix together, and refrigerate overnight.
Baking
  1. Divide dough into 4 parts and roll out each part like pie dough.
  2. Cut into 12 pie-shaped wedges and roll big end to little end.
  3. Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 350°F for 30 minutes.
  4. Cool completely.
Frosting
  1. Mix frosting ingredients together and spread on cooled crescents.

Notes

Serve these crescent pastries at room temperature. They can be frozen unfrosted for up to 3 months. Always cool completely before frosting.
