  • 2 cups spinach Fresh baby spinach works best.
  • 2 medium bananas Use ripe bananas for natural sweetness.
  • 1 cup cottage cheese Small curd for a silkier finish.
  • 1/3 cup milk Use your choice of milk (dairy or non-dairy).
  • 2 tablespoons flaxseed meal Stir in last and pulse to distribute evenly.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place spinach in the blender so it sits at the bottom.
  2. Add bananas, cottage cheese, milk, and flaxseed meal in that order.
  3. Blend the ingredients until the mixture is smooth.
  4. If desired, add ice cubes and blend until no ice chunks remain.
  5. Pour into a tall glass and serve immediately for best texture.
  6. Garnish with banana slices on top, if desired.

Notes

Store any leftover smoothie in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake or stir before serving.
