  • 1 can white beans or chickpeas, rinsed
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter Use smooth peanut butter for best texture.
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Can reduce for a less sweet dip.
  • pinch cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup milk Use dairy or plant milk as a substitute.
  • 1/4 cup flour Add gradually until desired thickness.
  • to taste chopped dark chocolate Add at the end for texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the beans or chickpeas in a food processor.
  2. Add peanut butter, caramel sauce, maple syrup, brown sugar, and a pinch of cinnamon to the processor.
  3. Pour in the milk.
  4. Blend until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Add flour by the spoonful and blend after each addition until you reach the desired thickness.
  6. Stir in the chopped dark chocolate.
  7. Chill the hummus in the fridge before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. If it thickens, stir in a teaspoon of milk to loosen before serving. For dairy-free, substitute with plant milk.
