Ingredients
  

For the roasted cherries
  • 1 cup fresh cherries Pitted and halved
  • 1 tablespoon sugar For roasting cherries
For the brownies
  • 1 box Ghirardelli Ultimate Fudge brownie mix Follow package instructions for oil and eggs
  • as per box instructions oil Recommended in the brownie mix box
  • as per box instructions eggs Recommended in the brownie mix box
To serve
  • 1 scoop vanilla bean ice cream For serving with brownies

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pit cherries and cut them in half.
  2. Sprinkle cherries with sugar.
  3. Roast cherries at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes.
  4. Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions.
Baking
  1. Remove cherries from the oven and reduce oven temperature according to brownie package directions.
  2. Mix cooled cherries into the brownie batter.
  3. Bake brownies according to package instructions.
Serving
  1. Top warm brownies with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.

Notes

Store cooled brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze unfrosted brownies for up to 3 months. Let them cool completely before adding toppings.
