- Pour the bread cubes into a mixing bowl and combine with the butter mixture.
- Spread the coated bread cubes onto a baking sheet in a single layer.
Baking
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, watching closely in the last few minutes to prevent burning.
- Once out of the oven, while still hot, sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
Notes
Store cooled croutons in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze in a resealable bag for up to three months. Avoid refrigerating to keep them crisp.
