Preparation
- Remove the green tops from the strawberries and place the berries in a food processor.
- Juice the lemons and add the lemon juice to the food processor with the strawberries.
- Add the sugar to the food processor.
- Puree the strawberries, lemon juice, and sugar for 15 to 20 seconds.
- If desired, strain the puree through cheesecloth to remove seeds and pulp.
- Pour the puree into a pitcher and add the water; stir to combine.
- Add ice cubes and refrigerate until chilled.
- For adult servings, add a little rum to each glass as desired.
- Serve in tall glasses over ice, garnished with a strawberry slice or a lemon wedge.
Notes
Store in a covered pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Chill all ingredients to reduce dilution from melting ice.
