  • 1 can seasoned black beans Drain and rinse to reduce added salt.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Can be substituted with Greek yogurt for a tangier finish.
  • 1/4 cup cotija cheese Crumble by hand for a rustic finish.

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the cubed avocado, chopped tomatoes, chopped red onions, and fresh cilantro.
  2. Add the seasoned black beans and mix gently to avoid mashing the avocado.
  3. Top with a dollop of sour cream and sprinkle with cotija cheese.
  4. Serve on hot dogs or in a bowl.

Notes

Serve with lime wedges and extra cotija cheese for guests to customize. Pair with light beers or iced tea for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use within 1-2 days.
